Designed to precede "Vamos lá continuar" (see separate entry), "Vamos lá começar" is aimed at beginners and lower intermediate students who need to practise their grammar and vocabulary skills.

Each volume contains a variety of different exercises (multiple choice, fill in the blanks, matching, identification...) and each exercise is graded on a scale of 1-5 in difficulty. Solutions are provided at the back of each volume and the majority of exercises can be completed without any teacher support.

Complies with levels A1, A2 and B1 of the CEFR.

After using these two volumes, the learner can then progress onto using Vamos lá continuar ( http://www.portuguesebookshop.co.uk/portuguesebooks/9789727577897 ) which is for higher levels B1, B2 and C1 of the CEFR.

Currently Vamos lá começar Gramática (ESB code 82848) and Vamos lá continuar (ESB code 82129) are now new editions which are written with the new spelling rules (Novo Acordo Ortográfico)
